Peeking from the duvet bunker, small eyes bear witness – the domestic fight has come again. Because there’s only ever really one. Engagements punctuated by ceasefire, détente, summit meeting, negotiations, peace accords, normal relations, a breakdown in talks, an end to diplomacy, Cold War, proxy war, subterfuge, flashpoint, and the inevitable resumption of violence. A war unending until domestic fight turns flight. And in the bare light of day, one belligerent skirts the field, and in distant refuge never would shots find.
